I’m surprised this issue didn’t come up in the first Transformers movie.  Does anyone remember the robot called “Jazz” that spoke in a similar manner?  Just because they’re robots doesn’t mean they are exempt from racial cultural stereotypes that have been developed by the humans watrching the film.  The context of the viewers means far more than the physical form of the characters in the film.
